blair: nate and me broke up.
-serena: what? but everything was so perfect, like a fairy tale.
blair: i really wanted to go to prom with my highschool boyfriend and now..
-serena: he feels like your highschool boyfriend. i'm sorry.
blair: me too. and you almost missed prom.
-serena: you know, i actually had a lot of fun tonight and right now i'm with exactly who i wanna be with. my best friend. you are highschooling me! all of the boyfriends and main girls and tests and teachers and our crazy mothers - we went to it together, we raised each other. you're my sister.

gossip girl: schoolfriends may come and go but a bff is forever. because even when youre not sure where you had it, it helps to know youre not going there alone. no one has all the answers and sometimes the best we can do is just apologize and let the past be the past. other times we need to look to the future and know that even when we think weve seen it all, live can still surprise us and we can still surprise ourselfs.
